Specs of current x86labs.org server

I was just wondering out of curiosity what the specs are for iago's server thats running these forums. It seems to get good uptime, but i guess my main question is do the hard-disks ever spin down?

Well, first it's hosted on VMWare, so there are sort of two questions there.

Here are the stats on the VMWare server:

<edit> incidentally, it's a desktop running on my home DSL connection. Soon I'm going to bring the server to Calgary, and I'm going to look into getting a business line and a UPS, the whole deal.

How do I find out? I figured the load would give you some idea of that, but I wasn't really sure.

A business connection would be the best idea... MTS has recently started to suck ass even worse than before.

In my experience, "business class" DSL/cable is no more reliable than "residential class", other than perhaps more upstream, different terms of use, and a lot more money spent.  Typically no SLAs with fixing failures either.

On Cox, the business line has double the upstream of the equivilant speed plan for residential, and they don't filter port 80/25. And you're assigned a static IP address, as opposed to having one served up to you.

That sounds about the same as the local Winnipeg ISPs. I don't know what the Calgary ones are like.
