I'm pretty sure it's all an act to be extremely unusual/repulsive/shocking/offensive/controversial, in order to become widely viewed. Notice that he is rated #1 for most views today. Sooner or later he'll have a ton of subscribers too. However, once he's accomplished his goal of being one of the most subscribed people on youtube, it's hard to see where he can take it from there. It seems unlikely any TV network would pick that up.
