Well, I try my best not to listen to any music by RIAA-affiliated bands, so it's not such a big deal to me.
If they actually change the law, then I'll start avoiding CRIA-affiliated bands, too. I doubt I listen to any of them at the moment, but still!
The law is good and bad, from what I understand. It's bad, because all the CDs I use to back up data cost me extra money. It's also bad because from what I hear, the money isn't going to artists, it's going to record companies. It's good, of course, because it makes downloading music legal, which it should be.
In any case, I don't care. I'll continue to support artists and labels that aren't in the habit of screwing their fans.
