hi from my iTouch!

So yep I got an iPod touch. I have to say I'm liking it except that typing is a little awkward. It's still cool as hell!!!
I have a programming folder, and I have nothing of value there

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

Then use any number of solutions to unlock it, and use it on whichever network you like.

I know a lot of people where I live that have done exactly that, since that's the only way you can get them in Canada.

What other carriers have the same type of service as ATT?  TMobile?

With a GSM phone I believe that AT&T and TMobile are your only choices.

Well, AT&T doesn't exist in Canada, so that's not an option. Rogers or Telus are the biggest choices here.

There are a seemingly infinite number of small GSM providers, but T-Mobile and ATT are the only big ones in the US. Sprint and Verizon pretty much have a lockdown on CDMA, although there are tons of alternates for CDMA as well.

Then there's UMTS, which is like the bastard 3G child of a number of CDMA and GSM technologies.

Telus apparently sucks balls. I haven't heard one positive thing from any of their customers. Rogers AT&T is apparently pretty good... but I get better reception with MTS.

BTW, Cingular and Verizon are both GSM.

Call Brooke, then.
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

Cingular and AT&T merged; they're both AT&T now.

Verizon is CDMA, not GSM.

[edit] Of course you get better reception with UMTS; it's VoIP! Same goes for EV-DO enabled CDMA phones.
