They must have deployed Rev.A with 5.0, and confused the media. We're not the only company in the market, but I can say for certain that Rev.A alone does not increase the bandwidth; the hardware is, however, required for the 5.0 transition (Rev.A is part of the 4.2 spec, which is deployable, but unlikely to ever be deployed).

Hmm.  Well, to the best of my knowledge, all of (Alltel, Sprint, Verizon) are deploying or have been deploying Rev.A including the improved reverse link bandwidth.

That doesn't surprise me; the benefit of QoS in 4.2 is marginal. It would be silly for them to allocate two maintenance windows, and allow for twice as much downtime when they don't have to.

5.0 is going out the door as I type. Rev.B may be coming soon, if it isn't abandoned. :D
