We nearly stop river flow up at the Elephant Butte dam during the late fall months until mid spring, this pretty much dries up the river except for a few stream like flows.  Many people like to drive in it near my parents' house and have fun.  Down South the Mexicans try to drive across with drugs.

Racism is cool, did you miss the memo?  I can try to find a copy if you need one.

Sorry, I realize that English is a very imprecise language, so I'll use brackets to clarify what I meant.
[Lack of education] and [parrotting].

Kthx.

I think we're all missing the important part here: there's a place named Elephant Butt? Seriously? How did that one get by the censors?

You mispronounced Butte to rhyme with Butt.  We have lots of places called "Butte" around here.  As far as I can tell it means "big-ass rock."  So it's like Butt, but sounds more sophisticated.

Check out that water line :o!  That's happened over the last ... 10? years.  Not so good :(.  I think it was summer before last that the butte was at 1%ish of capacity that we can use.

I'm aware that it's supposed to be pronounced bee-yout, but that's no fun. :P

Not really bee-yout, I'd say more of a b-yout, maybe byoot?  Boot with a you sound.

Like the Canadian way of saying about?
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.
