Dartford Cemetery Haunting?

When I was at Slinky's house over the past few days we watched a documentary on the Discovery Channel called "A Haunting", which featured this cemetery. Apparently some of the really old tombstones give off a blue light aura, which isn't a reflection. Also, there's a rumored "dare" that if you sit on one of the graves, a ghost will pick you up and throw you off.

Naturally, I'm suspicious about this, but after Slinky's mom verified the glowing part, having been there, I was rather intrigued. Also, the line in the documentary, "we had heard things about this place before but thought it all was a joke" sort of drew me in.

Has anyone ever visited this place, or various other places similar? Slinky and I, as well as a few other friends, are going to go in spring as it's only 45 minutes away. We sort of decided that if we're running from zombies (plug: zombies!!! iago!!!) we'd rather not be frozen to death as well.

By the way, totally serious question, what kind of weapons would you recommend carrying on us when we go, in case something creepy does happen? How do you kill a ghost?

EDIT -
The second reason I want to go (the first, obviously to prove to myself, or begin to disprove, that ghosts exist) is to try and communicate with them and ask them what life is like after death. I just hope I don't find out that limbo is on Earth and become Catholic, but whatever. I suppose I'd rather find the truth than stick with what makes me happy.

I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

Hmm, if only there was somebody you could call if you were attacked by ghosts. But really, if something's weird in the neighbourhood, who you gonna call?

hahahaha Joe, I'm telling you, ghosts exist. More than one reason. One of which is certain pictures i have. another is the creepy vibrating noise i heard outside my house one night when i was the only one home. no idea what it was. but something was vibrating.

Those are nothing more than anecdotes, both of which have plausible scientific explanation.  Just because you yourself are unable to see them does not mean that they don't exist.

Don't understand something? --> Ghosts are clearly involved

I just thought I'd summarize your awesome reasoning. ;)

Ghosts are a bit tricky. You're going to need an enchanted weapon to defeat them. That, or magical abilities. Zombies, though, you just need to damage their brains; I suggest a cricket bat.
errr... something like that...

If video games have tought me anything, and they sure have, it's that sawed off shotguns work wonders on Zombies.  :)

Shotguns are crappy anti-zombie weapons. Their range is far too short, when zombies are that close you likely have serious problems. What you want is a rifle for long range and a melee weapon (baseball or cricket bat) for close. Shotguns and chainsaws both suck.

For close range the ideal weapon would obviously be a chainsaw. But then you would have to worry about fuel, so it might be a good idea to keep a katana strapped to your back.

what about daggers? Obviously katanas would work the best for bladed weapons, but come on...daggers are small, and easy to conceal. I think someone may get suspicious if they see someone with a katana strapped to their back.

I have to say I would never choose a dagger over a Katana.

Zombies don't get suspicious.

Chainsaws are bad ideas. They can run out of gas, they can jam up (especially when covered with blood), they get dangerous to the user (especially when they're slippery with blood -- see Dawn of the Dead 2k4 for more info), and they're really noisy, which attracts more zombies. Other than looking cool, there is absolutely no benefit to using a chainsaw on zombies.

A katana, kept sharp enough to cut through a neck, would work well. Failing that, a club.
