This was on the news in Feldys class room, which I quickly walked through today (Feldy and Mr. Considine's rooms are connected through a single door, can't walk directly in). Aparently his name is now John Paul 24th.
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

Yeah, I heard it on the radio while I was working at the greenhouse.

Some people are kind of upset with this choice, since he was in the Hitler Youth Group. And then later in the Nazi group, although he was forced to, people are still questioning this decision.

He's "against same-sex marriages, women in the church, and contraception".  He apparently also plans to declare that the world is flat and that we should once again burn witches.

The main problem with Catholicism right now is that it's old fashioned and doesn't really fit in with the modern world where genders are equals and condoms are plenty.  It seems like this new Pope isn't going to help that image any. :/

BenedictXVI.com owner 'sin' to sell name to porn
An American who registered the Internet name BenedictXVI.com before the new Pope was chosen said on Wednesday he had not worked out what to do with it but was pretty sure it would be a sin to sell it to a pornographer.

I for one am interested in seeing how this works out. He will be giving his blessing on using protection (Since catholics are against using birth control) so can we imagine a whole new line of Pope condoms, you're damn right! As for the hitler youth thing, If the cardnials can put that aside and still let him in with a 2/3rds vote, then theres something special about this one.

True, but you're also x86 leader by 2/3 vote so eh? ;-)

In other news, why do they pick such OLD guys? 78 years old.. no wonder he's the 285th Pope if they keep picking Popes who are that old!

Well then, they should:
a) Make it easier to become a cardinal
b) Not be required to be a cardinal

Why do I have to think up all these things for them!?

The guy has to be old: they want him to die.

If I had that domain, I'd be rich. I wouldn't care who I sold it to. Of course, I'm Jewish, so I don't count :p

Speaking of buring witches, I live like 45 mins away from Salem, MA., where they burned witches in the 1600's.

Ah, Salem Oregon was where the Salem witch trial took place. They should stop making 2 cities have the same name.

No, the Salem witch trials were what I was talking about the whole time.  Don't believe me, believe google.
Quote
From June through September of 1692, nineteen men and women, all having been convicted of witchcraft, were carted to Gallows Hill, a barren slope near Salem Village, for hanging. Another man of over eighty years was pressed to death under heavy stones for refusing to submit to a trial on witchcraft charges. Hundreds of others faced accusations of witchcraft; dozens languished in jail for months without trials until the hysteria that swept through Puritan Massachusetts subsided
