In May of 2004 , artist Steve Kurtz woke to find his wife dead of heart failure and called 911. The police looked at his art installations, which involved harmless microbe specimens, and called the FBI. The FBI charged Kurtz with bioterrorism.
Well, he got off cause he wasn't a bioterrorist, so...ok.

Even if he did commit mail fraud, the other party made it clear that they wouldn't press charges, and they are still planning on convicting him under the PATRIOT act. Wtf?
