Norton 360 problem...
« on: December 14, 2007, 03:06:56 pm »
So my friend got Norton 360 as a deal from Staples. He installed it fine and it says "Norton 360 is protecting you" and everything seems to be fine. I told him to make sure it's working and to download the eicar test file. He did but Norton 360 didn't detect anything. I googled this and found that other people are having the same problem with Norton 360...

So what's the deal? How are people suppost to know if Norton is doing it's job? Very strange...

I have a programming folder, and I have nothing of value there

Running with Code has a new home!

Our species really annoys me.

He installed it on his computer.

He's using a crappy product and expecting... well, good results?  Nope!  :P

I'd blame Canadians for not understanding, but since I'm the only non-Canadian posting in it, I don't think I can....

That only detects stuff... it's useless for getting rid of stuff. Kaspersky is actually the best.

I've never had it need to remove stuff, it's always stopped the infection before it happens..
