Picture of rifle w/money to go get it ;)
Gun safe from my sister with keys that don't work ::)...stupid companies, lol.  Off to sportsman's warehouse tomorrow to get the gun and new safe and maybe a 9mm, too.  We'll see ;)  If the rifle doesn't have iron sights I might just buy a scope instead of a 9mm.  But I should really research the scope before buying, that'll take a few days.
New Levi Jean Jacket, too ;)

Merry Christmas!  And seriously.  I'm not uber religious freak or anything, but I agree that doing shit like saying "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas" or calling a "Christmas tree" a "Holiday tree" in order to be politically correct is bullshit and pisses me off.

I got:

- A spice rack
- A nice standing lamp
- Shelves for my walls
- The movie Susperia (which I also bought for my mom.. there's a bit of a story to that, maybe I'll share it sometime)
- A veggi slicer ("as seen on tv!")
- A painting for my wall
- A glass chess set
- A bread maker
- Futurama season 3
- An electric eggbeater (or mixer? something like that)

I think that's all the biggish stuff. My mom sorta went all out, probably because I was away for most of the year so she wanted to get me nicer stuff.

I also had breakfast at my mom's (hashbrowns, toast, and fruit), lunch at dad's (crackers, non-dairy cheese, vegetables, soup), and dinner at my apartment (dad and stepmom came over and I made a Pad Thai dish with a carrot salad and a frozen banana/soy ice cream dessert).

All in all, it's been a good day!

I got lots of various cash and giftcard stuffs.

My big present was a "new" computer, from one parent, and a wad of cash to help finance a video card from another:
-3ghz P4 631
-1GB DDR2
-160GB HD
-geforce 8800GT (when I order it)

Not exactly bleeding edge technology, but quite an upgrade over what I have now (1.5ghz athlon xp 1800+, radeon 9550). Also offers a lot more expandability with pci express and the cpu socket fitting cpus made in the past 10 years. I like that I can drop in a core 2 duo or quad at some point in the future for some serious power :)

The worse part of it is VISTA. uggghh. I always complained about how much it sucked before I used it, now I have first hand experience. I need my copy of windows xp that my brother has the disk for. or at least my serial # and a pirated disk :(

I'm excited to both see what WoW looks like with the settings above the bare minimum, and get a good frame rate for once. I just recently bought a 20" widescreen LCD, and have been playing at 1680x1050 which is quite a strain on my current setup.

Coyote shooting is encouraged in most places.  Sometimes you even money if you bring in their ears, not sure if my county is (still?) like that.
WTF?  You should be banned.  Go to Old Mexico for that.  Stay out of the new one.

And, as stated, hunting for amusement is evil.
While I would tend to agree, stating it in one post does not qualify as establishing fact.  Particularly if you cite it in the post immediately following the initial statement. :P

I love the leftist spin (via wording) in this topic. Shooting local pests (coyote's eat farm animals for instance) instantly becomes "terrorizing" innocent and intelligent animals.

But this is way off topic, so here's what I got. :)

Some stuff I didn't get on Christmas, but it counted towards my Christmas presents so I'll include those.
32" LCD TV & wall mount
HD DVD Player (for family, but I get to take it back with me to college)
Assassins Creed, Battlefield 2, Guitar Hero 2
flask from my dad (but I already have one so I'm going to return it)
a new Patagonia fleece
XBL 13 month renewal
Trip to the Florida Keys from my grandparents
Money and lots of giftcards.

And I am getting a new digital camera and a car, but the car isn't really a Christmas present.

They live in Florida, yes, but I'm not going to their house. Every winter they go to the Keys for a month, so I'll be staying with them while they are there. I'll be there from a Wednesday-Sunday in February, it should be fun since I've never been there. I hope to spend most of my time on a boat fishing (killing innocent animals  :'( ) or something, but I don't know what they have planned. That was my present from my grandparents, plus a few giftcards. My grandpa also pays for 1/3 of my tuition, but I guess that's more a present to my parents than me...

Car: Probably a Mountaineer or an Explorer.

Xbox 360, Halo 3, Guitar Hero 2, Spare controller, rechargable battery pack for a controller, one month xbox live subscription, a thing that goes on the back to help it cool down (I'd have to take a decibel reading, but I'd bet it's 2-3x louder than any of my computers... lol), some shirts (my favorite one says "I do my own calculus stunts"), pants, a decorative thing with an Einstein quote on it: "If we knew what we were doing, it wouldn't be called research."

Anyway:
Money

Like 95%. My Jeep has over 106,000 miles on it and my mom doesn't really want me driving it any longer (also has some other problems.) We've been looking since the summer, but since I left for school shortly after we started it's been hard to do anything. Since I'm home for awhile we'll hopefully find one and be able to buy it before I go back.

Yeah, I'm excited. I get 16mpg now, so I'm looking forward to the drop to 14mpg. Fuck global warming.  ;D Seriously though, I do need more space for all of my junk...especially when I have to transport lots of people or move back home when school ends. I once fit like 8 other people in my small little Jeep Cherokee. (Bringing over girls from a different school to mine, it was only a 10 minute drive but imagine if I had been pulled over...would have sucked.)

My new computer is going to rock. I also bought a new power supply (because the computer came with some crappy brand 300W one) And 2gb of OCZ ram, which I got for $44 *before* a $20 mail in rebate. Total win.
