Many parents are against the idea of their children having sex this young (note: it doesn't bother me). 

Based on the reactions of several of my older co-workers who have children, regardless of political leanings, I bet it would bother you if you had a daughter and found out she was having sex at 16.

I absolutely would.  I think parents in general hold their children up to higher standards than they do of other children.
