wow, ubuntu...
« on: February 28, 2008, 11:30:26 pm »
i have to say, linux and their desktop environments have come a long way since i last tried them out. i just installed ubuntu on my laptop, and everything except the wireless adapter worked out of the box. the wireless adapter was a common issue also, due to broadcom not allowing ubuntu to ship with the drivers - so that works now, too.

i remember redhat 6.0 where not a single thing worked for me after the initial install. i was so happy when i got my dial up to work on it. i even bought that redhat at a compusa store, because downloading it on dialup would have taken days. man... wild.

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

Maybe brew would be lucky, too, but that guy likes to over-complicate things. :)

[13:42:03]<@TehUser> I wasn't asking for wang pictures, I was looking at them.
[13:47:40]<@TehUser> Mine's fairly short.

Agreed x100 -- Everything so far has been incredibly easy with Ubuntu.
It is good to be good, but it is better to be lucky.
