1 isn't that bad. 3/5
2 is godawful. It makes my eyes burn. 0.5/5

EDIT -- #3 is pretty shitty. Looks like a decent background at first, but there's a giant shit stain in the middle. 1.5/5

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

The 4th one has a cool abstract feel.

Make something that tiles.
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

I dont see how these can even serve as "backgrounds", if they can't tile then what exactly is the point? They seem to be too small in order to be a background of anything.

They don't really seem creative.. I like the *idea* of the 3rd, but pick a color.

Towelie, you may hate me after this and it's nothing personal (<3)

You have no idea how to create graphics. =\. I would find it hard to believe you or even anyone you know would use those. I suggest you pick up on tutorials hardcore. Every single thing I've seen is terrible. You'll get better just do tutorials hardcore.

I think they all look pretty cool, but I don't see any application for them. Then again, I'm HORRIBLE at graphics. I don't even use any on my site, which is why it looks like crap. :) I generally get an excellent CMS going (which is what I'm working up to) and THEN worry about graphics. Seems like the best approach to me so you can concentrate on making both of them the best instead of trying to do both at once. I'm not even sure you were speaking about web development though. :)
