People use hibernate? :P

Why not? It's the same thing as turning your computer off, except it starts up faster. Only problem I've ever had with it is for some reason randomly the computer will turn itself back on. That was on my old computer, though. Do you have a reason why you don't use it?

I don't use hibernate because my Laptop's ACPI thingy is flaky, which makes it really hard to get it going again.

"failed to hibernate"  Guess I need to go read the help file like it suggested, oh well, I'll do that sometime tomorrow.  Intense test tomorrow, NOT looking forward to it.

Anyone run into a screen brightness issue?  I can't adjust the brightness or find much of a solution.

Add the brightness applet to the panel?  Turn down your monitor's brightness

Ignore it and install the drivers anyway.  That's what I did on my laptop.
