MeBot
« on: May 02, 2005, 12:20:47 am »

That's what I have so far.  It will be a basic bot at first, and I'll build on it as people demand.  It's BNLS/JBLS only, so HAR!  Right now it is *extremely* simple, but it works.

I still liked zakenmayo more.

I was looking at ZakenNayo's code and realized it sucked.  Once I get everything peachy with with the bot I'll consider adding in BNCSUtil for hashing.

Also, please say what you want to see so I can ADD IT.

I'm going to download it now.

Suggestions - Ignore these if their already implemented:
Alternate BNLS Server Selection
Alternate BNLS Port Selection (Not an issue now, but could come useful in the future)
Socks proxy support (SSH tunneling for the paranoid)
Scripting Support
Customizable colors, and don't take the SB aproach (setting colors is just ew in SB)
Tabs? If implemented, add protection against loading multiple bots..
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

I only added profiles because each time I ip banned myself I had to switch config data, and that was pissing me off.
Alternate BNLS Server is in there already, and if a need arises I will added alternate port.
Did you like ZakenNayo's color system?
I'll get around to SOCKS.

I suggest having that event scripting system as opposed to hardcoding in the values, in ZakenNayo it allowed for a high level of flexibility which in my honest opinion is what users ultimately want.
One must ask oneself: "do I will trolling to become a universal law?" And then when one realizes "yes, I do will it to be such," one feels completely justified.

I do plan on adding in scripting, but not just yet.  I have to work out all the kinks and shit first.

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

What about Silly Rabbit bot?
The once grove of splendor,
Aforetime crowned by lilac and lily,
Lay now forevermore slender;
And all winds that liven
Silhouette a lone existence;
A leafless oak grasping at eternity.

Both BBBBv1 and BBBBv2 have been open source for quite sometime (obviously you've known that for quite sometime as well), however since c0ld's forgehosting account is no more, you'll have to find someone else who has them publically available.

I can give you space, if you need it, (which I doubt, since it's been a while since Tim got shot by his new game).
