It's a Canadian thing, but eh? Why not apply it elsewhere. :)

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

Hahaha.

I'd consider it with more seriousness if I didn't need my computer for homework.  I do a good deal of hw on the weekends.

Somewhat agree, depends on what I'm doing. I spend a lot of weekends with my girlfriend and when I do I don't touch a computer or *gasp* log on WoW for the entire weekend. If it is a lazy weekend and no one is around I sometimes vegetate in front of my computer all day.

When you live in a city like mine, there isn't many places you can go to "enjoy nature".  :\

I didn't shut off the server, obviously. :P

I did, however, turn off my laptop for the full day (although I sent a message to my friend first saying that I wouldn't be online all day), and I didn't use my TV. Other than that, I used the normal stuff (iPod, cellphone, etc.). I feel that that was close enough. :)

The world is now a greener place, thanks to my contribution the planet will be alive *that* much longer.

Yesterday had nothing to do with the environment, at least, not according to sources I read.

tech shut off = energy saving = less dirty energy sources = green

or did you all decide to turn your electronics off because you thought it would be fun to live in the stoneage for a few hours?

I think you need to read the original story.

*shrug* think what you will.

Personally, I did it more for the fun of it than for anything else. I just decided to read when I wanted to watch tv, and to paint when I wanted to play with my computer. Much more productive, in my opinion. :)

I guess the term as fun as watching paint dry comes into play here.

Watching paint dry can be surprisingly fun/fulfilling. :)
