marijuana, cedar point, and stupidity
« on: May 15, 2008, 03:25:43 pm »

I was on that Cedar Point trip with my class.. it kind of sucked (because we didn't get a refund) and funny (dumb kids who thought it would be okay to bring it to a SCHOOL-SPONSORED event). We had cops swarming the school this morning with reporters interviewing kids after school (lol).

I wonder what they did, exactly..?

Haha, I know the kid that distributed the brownies and the kid that passed out. The kid who distributed out the brownies is being expelled (because of dealing drugs). That kid is a bitch, though, so I'm a bit glad:). The kid that passed out had adderol and brownies.

Stupidity:
Kids being careless enough to get caught while handling an illegal substance.
Media focusing on a lame story.
Likely receiving a felony for a relatively harmless act, forever damaging his record and his career path.

Whether or not it should be legal aside, it was still an incredibly stupid thing for the kid to do.

*shrug* Some people just have super low tolerance. This person is one of those super skinny kids, so yeah.

Yeah, agreed. A lot of this was just unlucky, I thought. It was the one kid who pretty much fucked the entire group over. The thing that ticks me off though was that the one bus (out of 6) that the kid was passing out the brownies on everyone on there is getting "interrogated". It pretty much comes down to if you were accused by at least two people of taking a brownie, you're suspended. There has already been over 30 kids suspended thus far.

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

When you supply over 30 kids with pot brownies at a school event, there's a heightened risk of "bad luck."

Oh - it should be legal because people will do it anyway and therefore mess up their lives?

When you're eating them on a schoolbus, it very well could. Potentially suspension, criminal record, and all that.

To clarify, I was specifically talking about:

The kid who distributed out the brownies is being expelled (because of dealing drugs).

My statement was simply a satirical poke at the logic "It should be legal because the punishment for it being illegal is too extreme."

oh yes, one weed brownie will mess up your life. lol, god damn. experience the real world for a few seconds.

Idiots. If you are going to do shit like this don't make it obvious (meaning passing it out to many people)

I agree, the actual prosecution of marijuana users is far more damaging to the user than marijuana itself.
It's right up there with the government trying to make alcohol illegal, it's a waste of money.
One must ask oneself: "do I will trolling to become a universal law?" And then when one realizes "yes, I do will it to be such," one feels completely justified.
