Dead man's handle?  Uhm, ok.

Anyway, GUNS FTW!  Much like LAKERS FTL

Yeah, it's this.  It means that you activate the bomb, then if you release the button it explodes, ie: if you get shot.

I don't want to get pulled into an argument about weapons, but......

Wow, the guy with the gun is totally insane. If he had shot the guy, the bomb could so easily have been triggered, either by a dead man's switch, the twitch of a hand, a badly aimed shot, impact with the ground, a bullet hitting the bomb itself, etc. That would have killed all kinds of innocent people.

He got lucky that the guy cooperated, but what he did was incredibly irresponsible. I mean, what's more important, the innocent lives of the people in the bank, or the bank's money?

If he didn't have a bomb, what difference does it make that the guy had a gun? He could have just been tackled.

Also, army dude ... I don't think he'd really miss.
Did you read my list of potential reasons for the bomb to go off? "Miss" wasn't any of them, the cloest was "badly aimed shot", by which I meant hitting him in a place that didn't kill him instantly.

iago hit the nail right on the head: Bank money is much less valuable than innocent lives.

Either way, making it harder for a citizen to get a firearm is not a bad thing. Things like criminal / mental background checks seem perfectly reasonable to me.

One must ask oneself: "do I will trolling to become a universal law?" And then when one realizes "yes, I do will it to be such," one feels completely justified.

Yet again, that has nothing to do with what I said.
