My External Harddrive Broke(?)
« on: July 13, 2008, 02:52:43 pm »
I'm posting this here because the forum description mentions breakage.

Anyway so my external harddrive stopped being recognized by my laptop, so it's kind of useless. It still gets power to it and everything it just doesn't work. Is there someway I can fix this and if not can I just throw it out without worrying much about the data on it, or should I take a hammer to it or something?

well there's no like general hardware forum and I thought it was too technical for general discussion so I decided to just post it in a random forum but then i saw your quote and was like this will do

Dale, no. It's worked before and I haven't deleted any drivers. Also if it matters I'm using a Mac.
