Greetings Kyle,

It was recently brought to our attention that you may be in danger of harming yourself. We take these matters very seriously and therefore wanted to follow up with you, as you are currently offline.

Our In-Game Support staff is not trained to address customers involved in a suicidal crisis; however, we wanted to provide you the following qualified "crisis prevention" websites that you may find helpful:

www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org
www.spanusa.org
www.suicidehotlines.com

Additionally, you may wish to contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline by calling 1-800-273-TALK (8255). The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is a 24-hour, toll-free suicide prevention service available to anyone in suicidal crisis. If you are a TTY user, please use the following TTY number: 1-800-799-4TTY (4889).

We hope that you consider contacting one of these organizations, as the safety and well-being of our players are of the utmost importance to us.

hahahahahahah.  I think the best part is that they either:

a) Have a generated e-mail for this sort of issue.
b) Have an employee humorous enough to write an e-mail that seems generated.

I would have said "Can I have your gold?"
One must ask oneself: "do I will trolling to become a universal law?" And then when one realizes "yes, I do will it to be such," one feels completely justified.

It seems it'd be a good public relations move for Blizzard to have generated emails of this sort. In the case a kid does commit suicide over WoW (very possible), a news article could say, "Kid commits suicide over Blizzard game," versus, "Kid commits suicide over Blizzard game despite Blizzard's attempts to stop him."

Oh, I don't mean to undermine the importance of that insight that almost certainly resulted in the existence of these e-mails, but this does not change the fact that I find it hilarious that it wasn't an insight that could be laughed off.
