I think that overall longterm happiness is as simple as doing what you enjoy doing as a career. To me, it doesn't matter how much money I make or anything like that, it matters that I'm doing what I like doing.

And the evidence is, in my mind, that I do security-related work at home as well as at work, not because I have to, but because I want to. I love my line of work!

It seems to be different for all of us. I don't really have a strong love for the subjects I'm studying. Sure, they're interesting and all, but that's not enough. They have to challenge me.

America is probably one of the most stressful countries to live in. If we removed the simple luxuries we take for granted (access to everything, unless you live in a rural area) people would likely be unhappy because of the stress. Do you think it's a coincidence that such a large perecntage of our country is considered to be "depressed?"

americans depressed, joe in america. yep, definitely not a coincidence.

maybe if we deport joe to canada then they will get all depressed.
