Downtime coming...
« on: May 17, 2009, 11:09:39 am »
I just got my Internet connection going at my new place, so I'm going to be moving my server over there, likely sometime today or tomorrow. I don't expect it'll take very long, and I'll officially have a static ip address. :)

I also want to reconfigure my firewall and virtual machines in the future -- that'll potentially cause more downtime. But I'm not doing that right away.

Also, I put about 200 IP addresses and a couple /24 subnets into a firewall rule to block spam. If you can't access the forum, please let me know. :)

If they can't access the forum how will they see this message?

That's the joke. :P

But really, I expect that if it affects somebody they'll mention it before long. :)

I haven't noticed spam in a while.  Is that really necessary?

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

conficker has targeted you.

..
come on it would be cool.
One must ask oneself: "do I will trolling to become a universal law?" And then when one realizes "yes, I do will it to be such," one feels completely justified.

That WOULD be cool. Conficker sorta targeted Nmap (blocking Nmap's domains for infected clients), though, which I took as a great complement. :)

Yeah, I didn't move it yet. But I'm planning on doing it tonight, maybe. Expect some downness if I do. :)
