I think my friend Elliott summed it up best, "Its official, the media doesn't have a clue what is going on."

They seem to be confusing "hackers CAN target device X" with "oh no!!! Everybody's going after X!!!"

Any halfway decent robber would wait until you're gone, not hack your blender. :-\
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

If you mean foreground, then yeah, that appears to be tcpdump. :)

I'm surprised they didn't use traceroute like everybody else.
