Getting New RAM!
« on: June 11, 2005, 09:22:21 pm »
Yes, Ironforge is murder. (Ironforge, the Dwarven capital city, is the laggiest spot in World of Warcraft.) My friend Varro@Thunderlord got 1GB of RAM, up from 256, and it doesn't lag for him anymore. Me next! This is the RAM I'll buy. Anyone got any better idea?
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

He has 100 bucks to spend for a gig of ram.  You suggested 1/2 a gig for 130 bucks.

*bump*

So, anyone have anything to say on this? I figure I'll order it tonight unless someone speaks up (with a good reason).

That really wasn't relevant, oh well.

Buyer beware: you get what you pay for, though the price is right make sure you're looking at all the right stats, that gig of ram may be cheaper but will it endure and perform better than the kingston?

In my luck I've found that I'm a kingston lover, its the only dealer of DDR2 I'll go through.

Just make sure you exaust every possibility of ram dealers before you go for a good cheap price. Thats just me though, I'd rather pay the extra 30$ to get the better product.

I've never had any problems with it and it seems to work very well.  I have 2 sticks of 512mb.

Me too.

Yeah - getting two sticks of half the total RAM is generally preferable.
