Canadian election today
« on: May 02, 2011, 12:34:36 pm »
Any thoughts?  Polls say the NDP have surpassed the Liberals.  I doubt this will be the case when the actual vote count is in though...  My guess is it will be like with the Lib Dems in the UK.  Polls said they were doing great, then when the votes came in, Labour and the Tories were still getting most of the votes.

I'm predicting conservative minority again. But that's based on almost nothing.

I voted orange. They have no chance in my riding, but it seemed like the right thing to do...

I project Conservative minority with Liberal opposition (though I haven't been following things closely at all).  I don't like any of the parties.

I don't like any party either. I voted NDP because I like them the most, but I still think Liberal has the best chance to be opposition.

I considered voting "strategically" for Liberal, but didn't. If Conservatives win by 1 vote in my riding, I'll be pissed. :)

(FWIW - Winnipeg South-Central)

*sigh* conservative majority. Bye bye, rights and freedoms!

On the plus side, I'm super excited about how well the NDP did!

Yeah, the law's pretty outdated. They need to sync the poll times or something instead.
