Why would you (or I guess he) call a class a block?
I can see maybe a block of classes, but I cant see using "block" to replace "class"
Because some schools (like my high school) use block scheduling, and thus refer to things as blocks?

Block = class. It's pretty common.
Not around here...

I'm reasonably sure its got more to do with the fact that once you start getting fun things like free periods you don't really have a 'class' anymore. And as such its not appropriate to refer to them as a class. So the clear way is to start refering to chunks of time, which in this case is called a 'block,' and there you have it.

Now one can safely say that 1st block one is a teacher's pet, 2nd block one has a math class, 3rd block one has free and 4th & 5th block one has english class.

Neat how that works, huh?

I spose.

It's just new to me because where I went to school we learned and didn't have empty blocks (or whatever).  Or, we attempted to learn.  But because we're a Blue state (you know this) we have no money and poor schools.

I'm really sad. I can't find the motivation to do my homework. Calc III, Intro to Metr I and Physics II (which are my only classes) are going to rape me terribly :(

I've had no motivation to do homework for the last four years. Does college sap more out? I have none to give! :(

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

Meteorology (metr for short). Its one of the 'hard' sciences. It sucks because in most of my classes my teachers skim over something because its crazy hard but they always add 'don't worry, for you meteorology majors you'll get to see this again and do even harder things.'

Well, our baseball tournament is this weekend. Today we won two of three games. The second game we lost due to several errors on our team -- the final score was 7 to 6. We were originally ahead 6 to 3.

The last game we OWNED the other team. Final score was 19 to 2. We would have got more, but we only play 5 innings.

Hopefully it doesn't rain tomorrow. :(
