Lauren and I went perfume shopping today. (Her bestfriend decided to start wearing the same perfume as Lauren so I decided it was time for a new scent, and she agreed.) She picked out Chanel Chance and Versace Crystal Noir. I liked the Chanel more as it's a more casual scent whereas the Versace is heavier and would be used more for evening use. So, after I dropped Lauren off I went back and got it for her as a surprise ($80 gone.) I'll surprise her with it tomorrow before we go to the movies I guess. I also bought myself a new watch (I ruined my last watch at Sailing camp last summer.)
Lauren's parents are starting to say we spend too much time together, so we're going to cut back some. My best friends girlfriends parents have limited their time to 3 days a week - and we dont want that to happen to us. Her parents also said that I spend too much money on her. (This was after she went to the Outer Banks with me and my family - a few days after her birthday, for which I got her tickets to two concerts, a Vera Bradley purse and matching cosmetic bag.) While we were in Atlantic Beach my mother decided to get her this $130 Lilly Pultizer dress for her birthday (that's the sale price) and I bought her a $50 (on sale) Lilly shirt. This is in addition to me paying for dinner, lunches, etc. Laurens bestfriend complained to her boyfriend (who lives in Florida) about how he needs to be more like me and buy her stuff. I'm glad Lauren isn't like that, although she likes nice things - she doesn't expect me to buy her anything. But nevertheless I'm curious as to how her parents will react to me yet again buying her something.
And I mean I don't really have anything else to spend it on. The only bill I'm required to pay is gas, so most of my money gets spent on gas or eating out or movies. And I enjoy making her happy, and nice things makes her happy. Her father says he feels sorry for whoever has to marry/support her.
