My Physics final was today. I'm pretty sure I aced it, but the test was more "interesting" than I had anticipated.
About thirty minutes into the exam (which took place in the engineering building -- one of the larger buildings on campus), an electrical fire started on the other end of the building (or so I've been told. I assume it's correct, as I overheard it from one of the firemen present at the scene) and the alarms all over the building. The test room, filled with disgruntled students, along with the rest of the building was evacuated for something like 45 minutes. There were two full sized fire trucks as well as a couple other vehicles intended for this type of situation.
The unfortunate thing about this, though, was they only allowed us the remaining allotted time (which ended up being about 30 minutes, about an hour short of what was intended). I was able to finish the exam before they called "times up," but some of the other students in the class were complaining that they weren't able to finish. Since it was a pretty significant chunk of time, I assume that the scores will be adjusted properly.
It made for an interesting afternoon...
