Maybe in a no-Iraq war world we could have spent the billions we already have and will on subsidizing the public schools.

Maybe with a no War on Terror Bin Laden et all would see us as inferior and deliver more homefront attacks, drastically weakening our economy.
I'd be interested in knowing what amount of money has been spent on finding Bin Lauden. And what is so wrong with our system that even this much money has not allowed us to find him. And if we have so much trouble finding him, and you're so concerned with homefront attacks, why we don't simply succumb to the desires of Al Quaeda.

What I'm saying is that us being over there and actively seeking out terrorists shows that we're not just going to roll over and play dead and be their little bitch.

Ever think that MAYBE, just MAYBE that our presence is what got us into all of this?  Add together forcing in Israel, trying to prop of illegitimate governments, funding different mid-east-specific wars, and liberal 'humanitarian' involvement have you considered that maybe we SHOULD try leaving those crazy bastards alone for a while?

And if we do what I just suggested (completely) and they attack us again, well, then that gives us a grand reason to obliterate that place.

We aren't fighting a place. They're everywhere, including the US...should we obliterate the entire world?

And they aren't simply anti-US, they're anti-democracy, freedom, Christianity, etc. They're still fighting the jihad of yesteryear.

Before I explain, would you consider Al Quaeda to be among the more extreme Islamic groups?

Them and Hamas probably. Out of the extreme islamic groups Al Qaeda is the one that carrying out attacks around the world, just because somebody is allied with the US and we were allied with Russia during their occupation of Afghanistan. Most of the other ones are fighting for their homeland and such, and while their tactics are still horrible and I don't agree with what they're doing I think it's more justified than the dark-age mindset of Al Qaeda and others.

But it all stems from the mid-east, if we back off and they continue to attack civility from within w/out reason (because we've left the mid east) then we should initiate an EXTREME offense and eradicate all radical Muslims.  However, it is foreseeable that doing so may create more radicals.  But we won't know that they'll continue until we stop pushin up in their lives

...As opposed to fighting them now, you're suggesting we back off..wait for them to do something else, and then attack them again? For some reason I think your logic is flawed.

So is anyone trying to buy some programming books, my desktop PC, or some sweet lacrosse stuff?

This is by far the most conservative forum I've encountered.  Usually it's my comments that show how conservative I am that cause a riot on forums... wow.
I tend to edit my topics and replies frequently.

Short Version: My teacher gave me a 0 on a paper that counted for 25% of our grade, which gives me a D in the class instead of the B I would get if I got a 61 or more. I turned the paper in late, and I'm guessing he didn't grade it at all.

I'm so pissed at my AP Environmental Science teacher, I hate this guy so much. He's a complete bitch. When I first got him I thought he'd be cool, he's an ex-hippie and I just know he did tons of drugs. But he's not, he's a complete bitch who does nothing. During class he sits and downloads music on iTunes and then plays it for us, we have a lot of days where we would watch videos that didn't really match what we were doing or just do nothing. When we were given assignments they were labs that even he couldn't do, or that were missing a valuable part. The work he actually collected either got graded very late, or not at all. The work that got graded was graded horribly, he would take points off for stupid things and when I asked to see what I got points taken off for he would just complain and give me a look or say he'd write it down but never do it. I mean completely stupid, I lost like 10 points for not capitalizing or something like that, I forget exactly what but it was comparable. My friend and I have turned assignments EXACTLY the same (we worked together) and he'd give me 5 points more. I'm convinced he didn't actually grade the assignments because he never put x's or comments or anything, just a number grade.

Now my school lets you check all of your grades/assignments online, well he puts assignments in the gradebook (sometimes) but never enters the grades. We have assignments in there from the beginning of the semester with no grades. It pisses me off that I have to do work and not get a grade for it. He altered his grading scale to 10 points (90-80 = A, etc.) because people were doing so poorly. Anyway, with that grading scale I have a B in 3/4 categories (Final exam, labs, classwork) the final category is "Tests" which accounts for 25% of our grade..and it only has one item, which is this research paper we had to do. (Yes, that's right, we had no actual tests during 2nd semester....probably because we didn't learn anything.) Anyway, I turned my paper in late (Wednesday actually, which was when I had my final exam.) It wasn't a great paper or anything but I didn't want the 0 because it would cause me to fail. Today I go check to see if he's graded it or the exam and I see he's submitted my grade as a D..I'm thinking WTF?

So I look at my assignments, he didn't grade my research paper (which counts for TWENTY FIVE PERCENT OF MY GRADE) and left it as a 0% from where I hadn't turned it in. I did the math and I need a 61 on the paper to get a B in the class. What the fuck is his problem?

Now I'm already enrolled in my college so the D doesn't affect me in that aspect, but when all my other grades are A's and B's...and I slacked some other years and am trying to graduate with honors this D is horrible. I hate this guy so much. I am going to go my school tomorrow and talk to him, and if that doesn't work with my counselor or principal. I think I might file a complaint about him too.
