oh wow, I'm on a REAL computer.  Everything is so large when you're using a 15" monitor vs a 2.5" monitor

I don't think I need to explain how retarded that reasoning is.  I guess it comes down to a differing opinion of what friendship means.  I've always defined a friend as someone who wouldn't further his own agenda at my expense.  From what I've learned about you in this thread, I don't think I'd want to be your friend, especially if you consider this guy a "good" friend.  Sometimes people are worth the trouble if you actually care about them.  One reason I can't stand people in general is their selfishness and need for immediate gratification.

While the reasoning is retarded, it is infact reasoning. What you're suggesting is comparable to killing a person and then not looting the corpse because it would be morally wrong.

In this case I should have stated that they are both in-fact good friends. So your suggestion of betraying one by telling him what happened could easily end up costing me another. Basically at the end of the day the benefits of doing the right thing don't come close to overcoming the consequences...

I never said I was a decent or respectable person either, so I can definitely understand not wanting to be my friend, it happens.

This is also the first time since May I've put away my clean clothes (i usually jst was them and then tosh them on the floor)

yay for the best day of summer.  whats really sad is that this is really going to be my favorite day of summer, such a lame summer otherwise

Lauren and I went and sat on the beach last night, we basically just talked, looked at the stars, and watched some fireworks that were happening in the city across the water.

I don't. I guess I still like her but I don't want to date her, largely because I want to be able to meet new people and girls in college. There's also a lot of things about her I don't like. I really enjoyed my time with her last night though and I feel like I'm back in that stage when people first start going out. She told me though if we hang out again and she's still dating the guy then I'm not even allowed to put my arm around her. She said that if I did make a move we would most likely do whatever, but it would be the last time and I need to decide if I want sex once or a lasting friendship.

Leaning over and kissing her is just so much of a habit and just feels right because it's what went on for so long. We probably won't hang out again or if we do it'll be very casually (ie not alone on a beach at night with nobody around.)

Edit: Just a btw: we didn't have sex or any form of it on the beach, we kissed some but that's it.

I remeber seeing Jacque and not being with her and it feeling....I guess, wrong.

I assume that how tonight is gonna feel.  I'm probaly still going to be in that mindset tonight with Susan :-/
I hpoe tonight is good though, this is the only thing I have to look forward to all summer.  The next best thing is a POSSIBLE backpacking trip, tonight is still higher/better

I'm more excited for this than my 21st

Totally unrelated to chicks, but my interview at Starbucks is in an hour. I'm split between hoping it goes well, and hoping that it doesn't.

If it goes well, I get a pretty cool job, make $$$, etc.

If it doesn't go well, I have plenty of free time to do absolutely nothing. Which is a lot more enjoyable than working. :P

$200 birthday check. $100 of that was free money, the other $100 was originally mine. I am a gopher for my dad  (I run around and buy shit since he's too busy to get it himself) and more often than not, he forgets to give me money. So, I just bill him. :)

~$570 leftover now. Woo.

And two of my buddies flew into Arizona so eventually I'll visit them. They just live really far out and I think all they want to do is drink/party, and I don't want to do that out here. :P

EDIT -- I pretty much pwned the shit out of the interview. It was done in groups of three, and of the other two people only one of them seemed capable. The girl seemed kinda ditsy... wait a minute... she's probably perfect for the job! Fuck. :(

Anyway, if a store needs my help, I get a call in 7-10 days. I'm hoping nobody calls, though. The training period lasts between two/three weeks, and I'm basically gone in about five or six or so. I wouldn't make much $$ in the end. :P

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

GL Newby!  ;)

--

So my dorm kind of sucks. I'm on the 3rd floor of the oldest dormitory in the country. It's divided into 4 passages (due to expansion, since this building used to be the entire college) so there aren't like traditional halls. I share my 'hall' with one other room, which is nice because we have no RA right by us, but then we have two RA's checking on us too (one from the 4th and one from the 2nd floor. So if one is a bitch then we're out of luck.) We also have no bathroom, and while 1st and 4th passage (I'm 2nd passage) have 5 people/bathroom I have 12-16 since I share with either the 2nd or 4th floor which sucks. My room is 14x18 which is a *decent* size, even though I'm used to more space in my room now and not having to share it. I'll adjust though. The furniture is in pretty bad shape for it to have been renovated in '99. The building is all full of bugs, there were dead bugs everywhere it seemed. My mom said she saw a lot of dead roaches in hallway corners but I didn't see any/wasn't looking. My mom said that if she had seen the dorms in their entirety earlier I wouldn't have been allowed to go. But in their defense it's summer and they haven't cleaned/painted/fixed the rooms yet and it's just how the guys left it from last year. You can tell that a lot of the dirt/bugs were just from lack of cleaning. The bathroom I'll be using is right next to a janitors closet but had a ton of dead bugs all over the place in cobwebs and stuff. I'm not too excited about that.

On the plus side I saw our new $22 million dollar library which is almost finished and it is just gorgeous. Letter couches/chairs everywhere, lots of open space, a big back balcony overlooking a pond. Rare books room, coffee shop, etc. It'll be a great place to study.
