I still like music.

Nope, no intelligent life here. Lets go back to Earth guys. WAIT FOR ME!

(not really flaming you, more like quoting Brian Regan.)

"Brian, what's the plural for moose?"
"Moosen! I saw a flock of moosen! There were many of 'em. Many much moosen. Out in the woods- in the woodes- in the woodsen. The meese want the food. The food is to eatenesen. The meese want the food in the woodingesen! In the, food in the woodenesen!"
"Brian! Brian. You're an imbecile."
"Imbecile-n."
"What are you speaking? German, Brian?"
"German. Jermain. Jermaine Jackson. Jackson Five. Tito!"
"Brian, what the hell are you talking about!?"
"I don't know, I don't know really."

Only a 78% on my first calculus midterm. And I know like, a ton of the mistakes I made. :/

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

I'm a bit upset at most of my professors. They've set the bar so low that Sidoh's tiny dogs could walk over it with no problem. I used to look forward to some of the homework and exam questions, but now it's all boring questions that require almost no thought at all.
errr... something like that...

Well, is it too slow for you? Or just generally easy?

I took calculus in HS. Was pretty easy. :D

Which calculus (AB/BC)?  He's referring to Calculus 2, which generally requires a lot more critical thought than calc 1 does.  I'm also under the impression that his mistakes were with algebra, not calculus. :)

I think his gripe is more objective than that.  These sorts of classes should never be about regurgitating information.  They should test how deep your understanding of the material is.  This precludes exams filled with questions that have been answered directly or follow directly from definitions or results produced in class.

I've been very impressed with my AI professor in this respect.  Our midterm was almost entirely problems that had never been mentioned in class, but they were directly related to the material.  The exam was a very accurate measure of how well students understood material.  This is how exams in classes that aren't all about memorization of facts or procedures should be.

Hey, me too! I had a 97% first semester, a 94% second semester, lowest test score was a 90%, and come time for the AP test, I crammed all the BC concepts over a day or so (since I was taking AB), had near-0 idea about taylor series still (I used ratio test for anything and everything), left one FR problem completely blank (taylor series), did little mistakes, and still got a 4.

Pre-calc is a LOT different than calculus.  Pre-calculus is designed to introduce you to the algebra tricks and some of the really basic concepts (e.g., limits) that are used heavily in calculus, but it really has a much, much different flavor to it, I think.
