Ah.  Fair enough, I guess.  I thought those aspects were poor to mediocre. :)
One of my favourite parts has been the strong interconnection between the movies. Like, almost every major character in Saw 2 appears again in either Saw 3 or Saw 4, usually in the background or unidentified. The main characters from Saw 1 are mentioned and often shown in every movie after. Every movie builds on the one before it, with characters and plot, and it's clear that they've thought through this from the beginning, and have left hints in every movie about the next.

I can make a list of unexplained items from Saw 3 and Saw 4 that are likely going to be explained in other movies, but you can probably find better lists online. One is the key that Amanda wears around her neck. Then there's the envelope that John tells her to open, but that they never reveal. And there are tons more. :) Something related is at the end of Saw 3, when John is talking to the female doctor (I forget her name), you can see him non-chalently pouring candle wax on a tape that says "play me". You find out in Saw 4 that John had swallowed the tape, because they found it during his autopsy.

These elements that bind the movies together are, in my opinion, amazingly cool! :)

Obama is coming to my campus on Sunday. :)

On that note, we got this e-mail:

Quote
As you may have already heard, Sen. Barack Obama will speak at 3:30
p.m. on CSU's Oval as part of his Early Voting Rally tour. This
event is open to the public and all costs are incurred by the Obama
campaign.

Gates to the event will open to pedestrian traffic at 1:30 p.m. at
the intersection of University Avenue and West Drive, south of the
Administration Building. The campaign is expecting a significant
crowd. For more information about the rally, visit
http://colorado.barackobama.com. This Web site includes information
about items that are not allowed at the rally. Please do not bring
bags and please limit personal items. Signs or banners are not
allowed. No pets are allowed. Water will be provided at the event.

The event offers a unique opportunity to showcase the Colorado State
University campus on a national and international stage, but will
impact parking and travel on campus and access to university
buildings on the Oval during the weekend.

All buildings immediately surrounding the Oval will be closed at 8
p.m. Saturday and will remain closed through about 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Impacted buildings are:

-   Weber, although students will be allowed access to the
computer lab through the west entrance. All other entrances
into and out of the building will be closed, and police will

They're shutting down half of the town for this, lol.  It's going to be pretty cool, I think.

WHO BITCH? TELL ME.

No but really, I don't know who this could even be. Is she still at high school? And do you plan to insert your penis into her mouth?

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

No it wasn't that bad, but it wasn't as fun as most Saturdays and I didn't go to bed until 6.

More and more guys seem to be going this route, these days. I think it's pretty cool...
Watching TV with parents = Bonus Points. My parents used to love when my boyfriends actively tried to spend a little time around them, too.

Failed my first physics midterm. Pretty miserably. I don't even have the results and I know I failed it miserably.

Talking to a lot of the kids in the class, they think they failed it too. Suddenly it makes sense why he curves top 30% of the class at the end to an 'A' no matter what your percent.

Maybe physics isn't for me? Maybe the honors class isn't for me? :/

I don't know man.  Give it a chance.  I definitely felt like had a better grasp on things after two semesters of physics.  I think going back after I've had all of the math courses I've had now would make them way easier too.  Maybe finish calculus and then take modern physics or something?

"Failing" an exam is all relative. You might have gotten a 30% on that, but if he curves that to a B, who cares? (Yes, my physics class was like this).

Maybe finish calculus and then take modern physics or something?

It wasn't anything hard, either. It was mixing concepts. He doesn't give numbers, he uses letters so we solve symbolically.

An example problem, probably the only one I got more than half credit on:

Quote
You have a marble of mass m and radius r with initial velocity v rolling without slipping. It rolls into a loop of radius R and at the top of the loop, it has half of its initial velocity. What is its starting speed, assuming the inertia of the marble is I = 2/5mr2?

The hardest one, which I had like less than half a clue on how to do:

Quote
You have two planets, one of mass m and one of mass 2m, both with radius R, with a center-to-center distance of Ri (and Ri > 2R), which are gravitationally attracted towards each other. Right before they collide, what is the velocity for each planet?

It pretty much killed me, even if it does look easy at first. I almost feel dumb for not being able to solve it, especially when he gave us formulas.

I'm half and half for just switching to computer science and/or math for a major... but my dad bitched me out for wanting to quit after one midterm. I'm not super excited about being bitched at for poor performance, though, and if I can't get the hang of physics then I would rather take the easy A and shut up the whining.

"Failing" an exam is all relative. You might have gotten a 30% on that, but if he curves that to a B, who cares?

It still means that I "understood" (technically) 30% of the material covered, which would mean that as exams become more cumulative, I would only do worse.
