I got a 3G Kindle for Christmas.  I use it for reading when I eat alone, which is often.  Much easier to eat a sammich with a Kindle than with a fat paperback.

I've been working with this 1415 y/o kid (my singers cousin), working on his website, giving him guitar lessons, recording acoustic guitar tracks, and a tidbit of writing. This kid has the songs, skill, looks, and voice to be as big as Justin Beiber, but wayyyy better. A few legendary producers have shown interest, and he's just finishing writing his record.

Launched his website today with a teaser of his first single. Check it out! This kid is crazy good.

It has promise, but the lyrics need work.  I think the intro could be improved too.  His voice sounds somewhat juvenile, but I guess that's because he's 15 :P.

He sells out stadiums with ease; give him some credit. Though beiber's music and persona is completely irrelevant to any of us here, he worked his ass off to get to where he is, and there's no denying that's he's accomplished more at his age than 99.99% of the people you know.

It was a market comparison. Pop music by a young kid.

@Rule: The intro is longer, but the beginning was cut off because it's a teaser. Lyrical content and voice, I would agree if it wasn't 2011. Pop music today is ridiculously bubble-gum simple.

Yeah that's true.  We should aim for better, but it might not be necessary to be popular these days.

I don't like his voice or style, and I especially don't like the autotune, though I guess that's what's in these days.

Just my opinion, though! :)

Yeah the autotune ruins the song IMO... needs less of it.  It's not that good of an autotune either IMO...

And at least his voice sounds less like a girls'.  I think I mistook Bieber as a girl when I first heard a song of his.

hahah you're right, I forgot my audience.

completely raw and unmixed. no delay, no reverb, no compression, no autotune, no effects. I've gotta get some redemption for harnessing these monster guitar tones.

Maybe I should just lower my standards and date a fat chick... I guess if I expect a white woman to be open-minded enough to date outside their race, perhaps I should be willing to date someone who weighs more than me.
