I don't recommend Shiner Bock, Warsteiner, or Rolling Rock. Well, I didn't particularly like them anyway.

One good rule of thumb (not always true either): If it's typically found on tap at bars, it's no good.

Most people drink beer just because and to them "beer is beer." These people typically get the cheapest beer they can (especially in quantity) ... and that's why breweries like Papbst Blue Ribbon are still in business. Some of them don't like the so called "fancy" beers either.

If you have a data plan, browse through beeradvocate or ratebeer at the store to get an idea what you should try. In terms of beeradvocate, anything B and higher is worth trying.

That couldn't be more wrong around here, unless you're going to the wrong bars.

All the good bars here (ie, the ones worth going to) have all the awesome local stuff on tap.

That's Canuckianland though.

What he said is generally true in Americanland, unless it's a microbrewery establishment.

Well, we do have beer bars. These places can have enormous menus of beer to try with tens upon tens of taps.

You're typical bar/restaurant won't have anything like that though ... at least not the places I've been.

I guess the places I go are usually pubs, not bars. They'll general have a few taps (maybe 4 or 5), but they're all local/good.

Yeah, in my experience, bars usually have pretty awesome local brews on tap.

Then again, I'm from Colorado.  Lots of breweries here...

Ask me again when I'm actually 21 and I'll have an expert opinion. :(. I'm guessing Wisconsin bars have a good beer selection, since, you know.. our baseball team is the Brewers.. :P
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

Wisconsin has a good selection of FUCKINGASSCOLDSNOW and tacky cheese hats, but if you're looking for something else, you might as well give up now.

We used to have a hockey team here called the Winnipeg Jets. Man we had awesome airplanes back then!

Now we have the Manitoba Moose - the streets are always getting jammed up with the damn things!

The Brewers name is an actual reference to the breweries. Their home field is Miller Park (beer).

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

Are you excited to finally find out what it's like to be drunk!?

Also, that means I've known you for almost 7 years (cuz I think when we met you were 14). Crazy, eh?
