x86 Reunion in San Francisco
« on: June 06, 2012, 04:00:21 pm »
How does June 30 (Saturday) work for everybody? Somewhere in the city? I'm open to suggestions about where, I don't know the city very well. Somewhere we can do dinner + drinks? Or separate places? I don't care! Let's plan something though :)

Bastard. I'm leaving on the 16th. :(
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

It occurs to me that 'reunion' implies we were, at some point, united. Ah well. :)

My goal is to change Sidoh's tree into some sort of bush. Or web.

Sounds like fun. If people let me know what kinda stuff/food they like, I'll ask around for recommendations.

I'll be around. Jimmy and I are about an hour away, so it's a bit of a drive, but I'm sure we can make it work.

Ew.

It would probably be more effective if the people involved listed the things they did not like, because I'm sure most are open to pretty much anything.

My favourite place would be a microbrewery. I'm vegan and all that, but I'd be happy to eat french fries for a meal, as long as they have good beer. :)

I went to a pizza/bar thing the other day with pretty good microbrews. It might not be the best place for a group of people to hang out, though... it'd be a little cramped. I'll ask around for good microbreweries. There are lots of hipster kids here that are bound to have some favorites.

I'd really prefer to avoid seafood. A microbrewery sounds awesome. And yeah, Ergot is like, five minutes away from where I work. I'm down.

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

Well, I don't like seafood, and Ron probably really doesn't like seafood, so I think it'd be pretty dumb to go to a seafood-only place.

Sounds like microbrewery is gonna be a good plan.

Ditto

Perhaps Chavo and I will have to do a Midwest get-together at some point. Maybe hang out in a barn or something?
The once grove of splendor,
Aforetime crowned by lilac and lily,
Lay now forevermore slender;
And all winds that liven
Silhouette a lone existence;
A leafless oak grasping at eternity.

I can get to North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, and stuff near those fairly easily.
