I've done 2 apps for Android, one for a research project and another for work.
The research project one was for a Smart Shoe project which allowed for real time graphical monitoring of foot pressure for diabetic patients at risk of developing ulcers.
The work one was an interface to monitor a patient's glucose levels over time and keep track of statistics.
Both apps utilized Bluetooth for communication.
