Being on the other side is cooler, preventing people from getting in, and dealing with incidents if they happen.  It's nice to know that you won't go to jail if you get caught, plus it provides a good and steady income.

I would have to agree. I think the rush of defending against attacks and keeping people out would be much more fun than the other side.

A true security specialist would be on both sides in a sense. To catch a criminal you have to think like a criminal, thus giving you the best experiences of both worlds and removing the chance of big bubba time.

I saw on techtv one time there we people talking about their jobs.  They worked for companys like google and yahoo and they were supposed to break in, then show how they did it, so they could fix it.  It was very neat.
