The enslaved dog [Solved]

The enslaved dog travels a set distance each day. Two of the enslaved dog's legs travel 50 miles, whereas the other two legs travel 51 miles. The dog is only 4 feet in length, so it can't be the fact that it's a mile long.

How is this possible?
