Painting the Fence [Solved]
« on: August 08, 2005, 08:34:26 pm »
It takes Sandy three hours to paint a fence, and it takes Claude six hours to complete the same job.  How long would it take both of them working together to complete the same job? Explain.

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

4.5 then?

If one of them can do it in 3 hours, how could it possibly take longer than 3 hours?

2 hours?
Sandy would have done 2/3.
Claude would have done 1/3. ?
