Leaving Canada
« on: August 13, 2005, 10:12:13 am »
The Canadian authorities have been trailing a drug dealer named Will Hoop, trying to catch him with large amounts of unaccountable cash.  over and over, Will boards a plan and adds to his Swiss bank account.  Each time he's about to leave, he is searched.  All he has is the clothes on his back, his sunglasses, a wallet containing several hundred American dollars, credit cards, and loose change.  He also carries an overnight back which has a change of clothes, toiletries, and banking papers.  Will is managing to take a fortune out of Canada right under their watchful eyes.  How's he doing it?

And no, it's not under his hat.

And no, Western Union doesn't exist yet.  He has the money on him, somehow.

Possiblility: He HiJacks the plane like a terrorist and sells it when he gets to Swiss Terriotory?
Possibility: The Bank Papers are cheques.

I am really noting how the wording is carefully put. "Will is managing to take a fortune out of Canada (right under their watchfull eyes)." So is he like shipping it on a ship. Or maybe he goes to the Swiss and ranks up a huge bill on his credit cards and then we he gets back to Canada he pays them.
Wish I had more hands, give those tities four thumbs down!

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

Back to the riddle, he unrolls his toilet paper almos all of the way, and then puts money on the one-ply, and rolls it back up, leaving the top layer money free. Or, he says that the money is his toilet paper, remember it is canadian money.

Lies. You can't have a razor on an airplane. Rabbit stop lying.
It was an Irish airline, and didn't have to abide by the "no sharp things or things that look or may appear to be sharp" rule the FAA put out.

Good luck!

For reference, see tmp's posts in the Linux security forum. If you can manage SSH access, you can garuntee it to be taken away and never to be trusted again.

I'll take a wild guess.
One or more of the coins in the 'loose change' is highly valuble. But the guards are not apraisers so it looks like a regular small change to them, therefor it dosent get confisgated.
The most valuble coin in the world is valued at $5,900,000 US, so it would be worth $6,994,450
And i would consider that a fortune :)

Dude... anymmount of money can be spent in a single day
If I had $6 mill I would be set FOR LIFE, And i'm only 15, so I'd be set for 70+ years.
(I have planned out it a while ago.. cant remember the details rght now tho)
Dude, I'm happy is I can get $20 in a year.
Also immagin this, how much in change d you usually carry around?
I usually carry ~5 quarters, ~2 dimes ~2 nicks. and ~15 pennies
Imaggin that the coin can be any of those sizes
so your carring around 22 coins
if all of them were rare and worth $6mill each you would have
$132 million dollers in 1 packet!
maby they are not so valuble and only are $3 mill a peice
thats still $66 mill
Also the thing said basically he has been doing this for some time. You can get a shitload of $ FAST.

I wouldn't be set for life at $6 million, I'm 16, and I've planned it out too. (That's because I would be constantly using that $6mil to acquire superior wealth.)  It's a lot of money, I don't doubt that, but I didn't look at it as if he'd been doing this a long time so it didn't seem too whatever to me.

$20 in a year?

You can't spend any amount of money in a day, and I highly doubt deadly could spend 6 billion in a day.

It would take more time to negotiate that than a single day, and a lot more money. Bill Gates has many billions of dollars, and we all know he would buy the internet if he had enough money. I mean, hes bought everything else. =p
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

Exactly, and banks in general don't hold much money so you'd have trouble actually getting the money. My grandpa tried to cash a $50,000 check the other week, and (combined) all of the bank franchises (Bank of America, I think, or maybe Suntrust?) in the city had less than that.
