Apple Store
« on: August 25, 2005, 08:50:06 pm »
So today was the grand opening of the Apple store in my local mall.  I was with a friend who was looking for a computer so we decided to pop in there for a bit.  I was like hmmm, don't look at these Apple's they are too expensive (the one we were using was 3 grand alone).  So I opened up Safari and was showing off some other laptops to my friends, stuff from like hp.com, dell.com, newegg, etc.  The assistant walked over and was like "Hey whats up guys!".  I said "nothing" and walked away.  My friend stayed there and was like "Yeah, he was just showing me something".  The guy was like "Oh yeah, cool!" and walked away.  Then we went to another computer, and I was running an internet speed test 10mbps up/down, not to shabby.  The guy walked over again and was like "You guys are going to have to leave".  We said "Why?"  He just said his supervisor told him so, and we just left.  To make a long story short, kick ass computers, mean supervisors.

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

If you're not buying, he doesn't get commission, therefore he tells you to leave. No superviser involved.

Yes Trust,

However Macintosh laptops are very powerful as much as a lot of people hate them. The Apply Hardware is very expensive however it isn't the cost of the hardware that is what is costing people. Because you cannot buy licensing for MacOS the copy for it and Macintosh software is very expensive. If you want a old mac or two I have billions of them in this house.
Wish I had more hands, give those tities four thumbs down!

Yeah the 1.3GHz with a 12 inch screen starts at 1 grand.  I can get a 1.3GHz HP for like 400 bucks.

1.2ghz on Mac runs significantly faster than 1.2ghz on intel-style.  Don't forget that Mac is an entirely different cpu.  It's classified as a CISC (Complex Instruction Set CPU), which means that each instruction is more complex than a single Intel-style instruction (in other words, it does more).  So comparing gigahertzes isn't fair.

Haha who saw the mac convention on video? That was awesome.
I am a  new Mac believer
<3 my new iBook.

I mean, Tiger even in PPC is excellent.
It features Spotlight, Dashboard, etc..
Also Mac has created great programs and so have others, example:
iTunes
Garage Band 2
Safari
iDVD
etc..

Podcasting is AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME.

Mac is the way.
One must ask oneself: "do I will trolling to become a universal law?" And then when one realizes "yes, I do will it to be such," one feels completely justified.

You mean the Pentium-M (which is part of Cenrino, along with wireless)?

Its true, I have a Pentium-M 1.5ghz.  It's comparable to a 2.6 or 2.8ghz

It all really depends on what you prefer. I belive that you can compare 1.2ghz Apple g5 with a 2ghz P4. I will ask my buddy works at Apple and get back to you.

I know that a 400 MHz PPC running Ubuntu Linux renders graphics in Gimp faster than a 2.8 GHz P4 running Windows.
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

Is that with G3 chip technology? And yes it would most likely render faster because Macintosh systems were designed somewhat for graphic rendering. Pixar studios uses Apple computers, and have you seen how good Shrek looks? It is under rumour that I herd a total of 4 G4 systems rendered the whole movie.
