A new experiment
« on: October 06, 2005, 01:46:49 pm »
My friend and I want to stick a person in a room with this playing on multiple TV monitors for an hour and see what the person does when he or she comes out of the room.
I have a programming folder, and I have nothing of value there

Running with Code has a new home!

Our species really annoys me.

It the combination of the sound and the video being played several times at once that would kill my brain. :P

I've currently been listening to it for 8 hours, and I have not been driven insane  :P! I guess its not the same thing as watching it confined in a room though..

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

Think about being tied down in a chair, and have your eyes taped open with that played for an hour. I'd hold my breath until I pass out.

It's possible, quite possible.

You're thinking of killing yourself by holding your breath, which isin't possible under normal circumstances.

You could probably do it until you passed out, but you couldn't do it until you died.

For the same reason as that I can't die by holding my own breath (you don't have voluntary muscle control after passing out), I couldn't take pictures either n00b.

What if you have a few people in a room, and they watch you hold your breath 'til you pass out?

You can probably pass out with some difficulty by holding your breath, but as soon as you passed out (which is giving up voluntary muscle control), you'd resume normal breathing.  That's what happens when you pass out.  You couldn't die from holding your breath, no matter what Maddox says.  ;)
