rawrite refuses to write
« on: October 15, 2005, 11:36:35 am »
I keep getting:
[11:46:42] D:\SLACKW~1.2-I\SLACKW~1.2-I\isolinux\sbootmgr>rawrite bare.i a
bare.i: Permission denied

And when I try using it on bare.i's actual location (before I copied it to isolinux\sbootmgr):
[11:46:30] D:\slackware-10.2-iso\slackware-10.2-install-d1\isolinux\sbootmgr>raw
.2-iso\slackware-10.2-install-d1\kernels\bare.i a
D:\slackware-10.2-iso\slackware-10.2-install-d1\kernels\bare.i: No such file or
directory

Grrr!

Also, using rawrite while burning a CD fucks up the burn :P

rawrite, iirc, doesn't work. Only one of those burners does.

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

!

The Slackware site says I need to use it, and my other computer won't load Slack off the CD, it keeps asking for a floppy.  It's pissing me off.

IIRC, on the OpenBSD handbook, it says that only works with Win98 and previous versions. If you have XP, you need something else.

-r--r--r--  1 root root     17728 2005-05-28 17:18 fdimage.exe

-r--r--r--  1 root root     13052 2005-05-28 17:16 rawrite.exe

It is one of those.

IIRC, it's ntrw.exe, but I could be wrong.

Try partcopy.
It can write raw binary to a disk, or if it's formatted write entire files.
One must ask oneself: "do I will trolling to become a universal law?" And then when one realizes "yes, I do will it to be such," one feels completely justified.
