Two Bands
« on: February 23, 2006, 08:13:14 pm »
One of these bands have been my favorite for a long time, but I just found (but haven't gotten) 50+ more songs from them, so I was excited.  Anyway, the first of the two bands (the one I really like) is called The Rasmus, they are amazing.

The second one is new to me, but not new to the music world, it's She Wants Revenge, they have some pretty good sadistic lyrics, and I think his voice sounds similar to that of the lead singers voice in The Killers.  I like this band and I think that they have great potential.

Have you guys heard of them?  And if so, what do you think of the two?
The once grove of splendor,
Aforetime crowned by lilac and lily,
Lay now forevermore slender;
And all winds that liven
Silhouette a lone existence;
A leafless oak grasping at eternity.

"They say that I must learn to kill before I can feel safe, but I rather kill myself then turn into their slave."

Haha, I must have somehow missed this post.  I've heard of The Killers, but I've not heard of The Rasmus.  I noticed the link in your signature a while ago and did some googling, but I still haven't listened to their music.  Maybe I'll download them one of these days.

You'll like them if you like Alternative Rock.. it's sorta gothic like, but you don't have to be gothic to like them.. I'm not, and I love them. :)

If you want, I can send you some songs over aim, but that's up to you.

Haven't heard of The Rasmus, but She Wants Revenge and The Killers get a TON of radioplay out here. They both are becoming too mainstream imho, and don't have many songs I like.

I was under the impressing that The Killers was already a somewhat mainstream band, since I saw them on MTV quite frequently about a year ago.  That's obviously not enough data to say it's mainstream, but since I don't really listen to the radio, I assumed it was played a lot on there too. :)

Yeah, it already was. And since She Wants Revenge is being given out with Winamp downloads, it's safe to say they are trendy now too.

Hehe, not bad.  This really isn't my favorite type of music, but it's still good. :)

 Thanks.

Haha, the best song from the Rasmus is "In the Shadows" it's the one that I heard first and it's the one that made me fall in love with them.

And yeah, The Killers have been mainstream for so long now, but I still like a few (like 3) of their songs.  But She Wants Revenge isn't really all that mainstream down where I live, but they aren't a garage band either.
