IBM Going more opensource

I know that IBM already produces a lot of opensource code (some students I go to school with worked on opensource IBM code for one of their workterms) -- but they're releasing a couple hundred of their patents to Open Source, which is pretty cool:

That's great, expect IBM applications to be improved and overall distribute better as a whole.

Yes, I'm very pleased to see this. I also know that MACos 10x+ runs an open source unix core. One more step up for the freedom fighters!
