Post and Topic statistics
« on: December 01, 2005, 02:03:10 am »
Here are a few stats I pulled from the last 14 months that are kinda neat:

It's kind of weird how it goes down for the first half of summer break, then goes up for the other half.

For the record, this is Valhalla Legends's stats:

And btw, we've been consistently higher than them for the last few months.  It's not a competition, but it's nice to compare ourselves to an established community :)

Final table.  Here's a comparison between our posts/day and vL's.  Again, this isn't a competition, I just want an established community :)

During the first 14 months:

It's actually pretty scary how close our first 14 months matches theirs :)

I prefer to post here over vL's forums, I think the community here is more 'people friendly'

No offence to any of our programers here, but I tend to like vL's forum more for programming discussion better, because there are many more programmers there than here.
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

Not necessarily, there are plenty of programmers here, but the majority of that clan programs, so that if more of their area of expertise.

Except for very technical questions, I find I get a better answer here.  But yeah, I'm the only real authority on C here, and Mynd is the only one on C#.  Other languages we have more representation, though.

You forgot to include Nissan, he helped a lot to kill the commmunity.

Yoni should join x86.

We own vL, which is one of the factors that made me stop going there.

Neat, I came around December 2004, never knew we were more popular than vL, notice I say "we" cause without "us" "you" would be nothing :P.

We are not "more popular", we just have more activity, which is awesome.

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

Haha shh :P

I originally had a chart comparing us for the last 14 months, but somebody thought it seemed inappropriate.  I decided it was best if I remove it, since I'm not trying to start a competition.  Not that most of vL would care anymore :)

If you can guess the URL, the image is still on my serve.
