Personally, Joe, I think that's a pretty stupid request.  I think they only way you're going to regain members' respect is submissively, through your "global" actions, not by your personal persuasion.

Well, as you can see, I really want to join x86. As iago knows, I was anxious to hear the results of the vote, too. I'm kinda disapointed in myself that I couldn't get 75% of the clan to vote yes, but the 9 abstains left me very little margin of error.

I didn't want to persuade them, but to ask them why they voted the way that they did, and perhaps try to work on that aspect of my character.

If I wanted it to be easier to join, I would have made it 66%, like vL.  Or, I wouldn't have allowed abstains, and not ended the vote until there are enough yes's or no's.

Ah, it sounded like there was some subtext regarding abstains being an issue, since we privately discussed it recently
