At some environmental shindig, they're giving out awards daily to countries who make the most backwards or poorest statements regarding the environment, and the ones who'll probably be the cause when the world implodes due to excess of greenhouse emissions, or whatever's going to happen.

The Number ONE Fossil of the Day for the first night of COP-11 and COP/MOP1 goes to the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
The USA are the only delegation to have arrived here in Montréal at this historic meeting having declared in advance that they are not willing to talk AT ALL about a future process for more action on climate change.
