Here's the mission's epilogue, with much of the noise (like people discussing what time it is where they live.. wtf?) removed:
iago: "Would you guys like something to eat? The kitchen can prepare just about any dish"
Towelie: "I would like some ale, along with a fine steak"
iago: They take your orders, and get you the food. It's delicious
iago: "If you've talked to people around this city, you know that they have one thing on their mind: the Klatchians. If you've looked at a map, you'll know that Klatch is the closest city to us, and they're a strong trading partner. However, they are a brutal people, with little concern for human rights"
deadly7: but iago, get to the main part.
iago: deadly7, may I set the mood?
iago: "Lately, we've heard rumours that the Klatchians are planning an invasion. We don't know whether or not it's true, and we don't even know what kind of an army they have. Obviously, the spread of these rumours has caused great fear here. We are going to make you honorary members of the Ankh Morpork Civilian Army. You will be directly under my command. You will be paid and armed well, and you will be spies. Does anybody have a problem with that?"
Blaze: iago, "No"
Hitmen: "No problems at all!"
iago "Your first mission will be to travel to Klatch, we'll provide you with horses or a boat, and find out what's going on there. You
will be recognized as outsiders, since you don't have black skin, but they are used to travellers. Any questions?"
deadly7 iago, "What about travelers carrying swords"
iago "Travellers are frequently armed, but try to conceal your weapons"
That's setting the scene for next game, which I'll see about setting a date for. I might try for Sunday (like, 8 days from now) during the day, unless somebody wants to suggest a better time? I likely won't be around on most Friday/Saturday nights.
